Spark Plugs... ? - 04/16/12 11:34 PM

What spark plugs would I run in a 472 Hemi with a 1071 blower? I have 2 Demon RS blower carbs and aluminum heads. The Champion N10Y plugs don't last long (as we all know). The car seems to run VERY rich, eye burning rich. Can I safely run a hotter plug without hurting things?

I'd get the mixture in the ballpark 1st (power valves's/floats/fuel psi?)

agreed 10 to 1 you are pushing too much fuel into it. do demons have a power valve? if not they still must have some type of fuel enrichment adjustment.

You need to put in less fuel as the others have said. The only thing the excess fuel is buying you right now is detonation protection, which is probably why it was set up that way in the beginning. Now you need to start jetting down, also as was said test the vacuum under the carbs to see if you need a lower rating power valve. You either have 2 or 4, depending on what carbs you have.

Sounds like a good tuner might be able to help quite a bit.
