Transmission build date - 10/26/08 01:41 PM

I have a book that states the transmission build date is 4 digits of a 10,000 day calender date.

When does it start and how does it work?

Thanks,Dave

Number 0001 is 7/29/1961

Every day thereafter increases the number.

There are a few converters out there. Do a google search for "mopar 10,000 day calendar" Should find you a converter. I know B-body-Bob's LightningJar site has one.

The 10,000 day calendar used during the muscle car era started on July 29, 1961 and ended on December 13, 1988.

The calendar starting date would appear on the part as 0001 and ending date would appear as 9999 (or maybe 10000?). The decoder below can be used for that calendar.
