FR gas shocks or air shocks will I notice a difference? - 10/25/08 05:50 PM

Hi,

I'm ready to purchase front shocks. I was just going to buy the monroe 20 dollar shocks, the other shock I'm looking at is almost twice the price it's a kyb gas shock. This is for a 74 318 barracuda, nothing high performance, but if it makes the ride smoother or handling better, I'll spend the extra $.
Thanks.

The gas shocks will let the car handle better. If you dont drag race it and want the better handling then I would get the gas shocks. I just have the 20$ dollar Monroe shocks on my 63 as it handles good enough on the street and they work good at the track. But I am not worried making my 63 handle for road racing. Ron

i've got the $20 monroes on my 69 r/t and 65 coronet. they don't handle or ride bad. a ton better than the $300 edelbrocks.

Thanks, This week I'm replacing UCA bushings and cams, Brake calipers, brake lines, and shocks. I'm going with all stock replacement parts so far with this restore.
