Need ammeter wiring diagram for my 78 Fury - 10/25/08 12:38 AM

Hey, Im in search of a wiring diagram for my 78 Fury. Im sure the 75-78 B-bodies (Cordoba, Coronet, Monaco, Charger, Magnum) are probably all the same. My ammeter doesnt work and its driving me nuts. The system is charging, but I hate when things dont work. Can anyone post a diagram? Thanks chums

If you need a 76-78 cop ammeter, give me a .

I just collected this up to convert to a tach setup. 1975 only, so I'll have to repin. Am pumped, but won't be installed for awhile.

My suggestion would be to R&R the ammeter. Sounds like you are good just need to get another one in there.

Hey Chief....now THAT is sharp! That looks really good. How much are you looking to get for the -100/+100 ammeter? Do you have any extra Certified speedos as well?

Man thats a great looking cluster Chief! What is that bezel from? I sure like its looks a ton better than the one in my RR. Maybe while I'm swapping I'll drop in that Certified speedo out of the '78 Fury cop car I parted. I saved the whole dang dash in case I could use it in something else.

You can have a used one for for shipping to ya, or www.arizonaparts.com has NOS for 19.50 ($10 less than the next competitor). EZ to swap out.

Not ready to sell the extra certified speedo in case I go to a 76-79 tach cluster.

I have a 76-78 parts cop cluster (minus speedo) thanks to a board member here ( ). Other than the speedo, I may be able to help.

It's prob the ammeter. An extra temp gauge wouldn't hurt, they like to melt down...

Thanks guys.

That's a 1-year only piece Jamie.

I wonder if Ma ever did this A38-style in 75? Haven't found one.

I like the look better than 76 up units. Tach dash from a 75 Cordoba. Took some time to find a 75-only certified speedo .

Was filthy but dry inside, and needs to be tested yet. Already swapped some gauges with NOS. The upper bezel is later Cordoba - protection only at this point.

76 and later tachs wire through the PCB, thus the housing and board are different. Who woulda known?

Tried a 75 Cordoba upper and lower bezel as well with the fakey burled woodgrain and inlays. Too busy IMHO. If you're interested in selling the RR halves, PM me.

Still pulling together misc body and int items, so if you know of parts or a car, .

I've parted out several of them bad boys. I cut one quarter off the '78 cop car I parted as well as kept the front fenders and header panel/grille assembly. Also kept the rear bumper and taillights. Have a set of Monaco taillights but I'm hanging onto them.

I REALLY want a '77 or '78 Monaco 4-dr to drive, saving parts in case I find the right car.

If I can find a 'doba bezel upper and lower I might consider parting with the RR bezels. The chrome sucks on them as the pic shows but the woodgrain isnt bad. I just hate that style though. To me it looks more old lady luxury car-ish.
