70 Hp Manifold Exhaust Pipe - 03/07/12 01:53 PM

I am reassembling my roadunner and will be using the stock hp manifolds, the old system was headers and rotted exhaust. I need to buy a new exhaust system and am shopping around, the one peice I asm missing though is the section of pipe that goes from the exhaust manifold flange to the staright pipe under the car. Is this a custom bent of fab part or can I purchase it as a seperate piece somewhere.

thanks

You might check with tti. They make downpipes in original configurations for people that don't want to run headers. They make what I want/need for my e-body.

Just an FYI the picture you have attached is that of the tail pipe , the end you drew the blue line on wit hthe 90* angle is the end that goes to the tip at the rear bumper.

You can buy a complete exh system from a few sources , some are more $$ than others .

That picture is incorrect for "stock" also. A '70 Road Runner with a 383 would have one pipe each side up to the mufflers. A 440 (440 4bbl in a Superbird & 440 6bbl cars) would have a "H" pipe, 1 piece that went from the manifolds to the mufflers.
