red painted drums in 69?

I know that I have seen 1970 cars with the face of the brake drums painted red, but were they like that in 1969 too?

Also I know that they were only painted red if the car came with a styled wheel like a road wheel or rally wheel, but if the drums were painted red in 1969, would early factory recall wheel cars have the drums painted red?

69 all specialty wheels drums were hand painted red
