sway bar bushing replacement - 03/01/12 04:04 PM

I have the sway bar removed from my 65 Barracuda, I have new bushings to install, but how do you remove the old ones? Mine are worn out so they will slide easily, but how do you get past the eye on the end? Please help, I would like to finish the front end this afternoon.
Thanks

You have to destroy the old one where it sits. Then lube the new one and slide it on the bar. Then with everything you own and all the persistence you have try to get the new bushing into the bracket. It is one of the hardest things there is to do on a rebuild.

Thanks MoparMike. Being the stock bracket is how it is should I take the bushing out of the housing and install it in the old bracket assembly. I have all of the front end complete other than this part.
Thanks again

Gee Mike you answered that for me and I read over it and didn't catch it. Thanks again.
