spun a bearing in my 5.7 truck motor. Is the 6.1 crank the same crank? What are the differences?

5.7 cast
6.1 steel
both neutral balance
you can throw a 6.1 crank in a 5.7 without doing anything else, works great assuming the 5.7 is 2008 or older. I've done it several times now, works great.

Are they not balanced different for different bob weights? Do the 5.7 and 6.1 have the same bob weight?

If I have spun a bearing, do I have to do a full blown rebuild or will turning the crank and new bearings be sufficient. The motor had 40K miles on it.

If it spun a bearing you need to take it apart for two reasons... first the rod is %99 chance it is toast, out of round or enlarged or both. Second is there is probably or should I say, there IS bearing material all over inside and it needs to be cleaned out.
