Best way to polish trim already on a car??

The shine on the window trim and drip rail trim on my Duster is starting to ware off and look a little lack luster. What's the best way to polish the trim? Is it possible to do while on the car and if so, how and what kind of polish? If I have to take it off, I will but naturally - it's my least preference to do!

Mothers Billet polish with a microfiber towel works the best IMO. According to my polisher guy there is no polishing compound that will work on stainless steel, but the Billet polish seems to shine it up pretty nicely. It's not cheap, but it works.

Die grinder with buffing wheel attachment.

Use household light dimmer extension cord to vary the RPM. Then use blue painters tape and newpaper to mask off surrounding area to compound doesn't spatter everywere.

MUST use full eye protection. Goggles fully enclosed.

I usually polish the trim on the car before I remove it with an industrial die grinder with a 10" bonnet bolted to it Masking tape is the key for one with good paint edge that with foil tape. Works great & saves money
