I have a 440 6 pack center carb date code is 2581 list is 6404 any idea what it is from?

1972 440+6 Automatic center 2851 = 258th day of 1971
That my friend is a rare carb! But there were so few of those cars made don't count on getting rich selling it, demand is about as low as it gets.

which cars would have had that carb on them?Do you know how many 440-6 pack cars were made in 1972/Thanks for your help.

2 71 Road Runners and 3 71 Chargers known to exist for now.

There are a handfull of '72 440+6 (Road Runner/GTX? & Charger Rallye) cars known & probably another handfull dead & gone. There has been a couple good threads recently on the subject - here's one of them. 
WAG - Chrysler Corp. ordered '72 spec'd & number'd 440+6 carbs from Holley & recieved some before/during/after cancelling the program. Carbs in-stock at Chrysler were sold "over-the-counter" as parts.
