'69 Barracuda back up lights

My rear valance is wrinkled up on my barracuda. I need to straighten it out but don't know what the area where the backup lights are mounted look like. Are they mounted on the slight curve of the valance or are they recessed on the top that allows the lights to be perpendicular to the ground? Anyone have a picture that shows the backup lights?
