Door locks- 63 Dodge

I was able to get a complete set of door locks, trunk lock and ignition from a donor car. I had one lock in the drivers door which I removed prior to having it painted. I must have screwed with the one door lock for 30 min. tonight and can't figure out how to get it installed. Is there a right and a left and can anyone lend a bit of insite?

Yes they are L&R.Put the key in the lock.It should be teeth facing up.Then they slide in.Hardest part is connecting the lock rod.Rocky

Thats where the problem is, its a real pain in the azz.

didn't know earlier door locks were side specific

had the same delema with my 62 just make sure you have good lighting and lots of patients..
