Is there a ball style reverse light switch for pre mid 68 727 tranny? All I can find is the 68-up plunger style and its not working.

Pre 69 switch is not on the trans, it is on the column or the floor shift.
The single pole switch is neutral safety start only.
With the three prong for reverse lights 69 and newer.
The rack inside the trans that operates the switch is diffferent after 68 as well to activate the lights.

Correct, though most refer the the part in the tranny as a comb...

Well I guess I knew that. Been a long day. NAPA said they have one so I'll go check it out this morning.
