Howdy!

I am thinking about a stage 1 type upgrade on my 6.1 hemi. This thing seems like it already has all the stuff I wish I could afford on my old a-body- big hydraulic roller, fuel injection, great flowing street heads, etc etc and that's not even getting into the suspension brakes and comfort/convenience of it.

Over 1hp/CID and stock reliability is awesome and the heavy pig of a car is worth it for the styling and comfort in a daily driver.

To me a 'stage 1' means intake, exhaust, and ignition upgrade- headers, msd, and a holley 750 is my go-to but this already has factory sort of headers, the exhaust is already done- magnaflow mufflers with a resonator delete, and the fuel/ignition system is above my pay grade!

For those that have done it- would an airaid or mopar cold air intake (for good sounds more than anything) and a diabolo with a canned tune give me a little more throttle response and hotrod enjoyment? Or should I spend the money on gasoline wink

Thanks!
Radar

A canned Diablo is good for 20 hp. A custom tune is even better, get the torque managment taken out. The cold air, meh, it's not worth much but does sound good. A cam and headers and you'll be making 6.4's nervous. They also benefit from a high stall as well

Truth has no agenda, but those with an agenda make their own truth.
Some of us are so open minded they only see their View
