I fired off my 392 Hemi today. Some background, I bought the motor 5 years ago off of Craigslist. It had been rebuilt and the guy had $11,000 in receipts including roller rockers and a fair amount of bling from Hot Heads. I had retoruqed everything in the lower end and repaired some things I felt were incorrect in the top end. To make a long story short, it fired and runs well! So far, I'm very happy! When I figure out how to take and post a video I will. Its always a big boost when your project runs.

Its in a 34 Dodge Highboy coupe with a 4 speed that I've been slowly getting together over the last 6 years. It feels really good to have it "breathe" after working so long on it.

Congtats Blarno, that first fire up gets the blood flowing for sure.
The next major step is getting it moving under its own power, which I'm betting is not far away.
Shortly after the first movement under its own power comes the first test drive.

After that first test drive, all hope of finishing anything else evaporates, at least for me, all I want to do is drive. Those days are getting close for you my friend, spring is so far away.........Gene

That's exactly how I feel Poorboy! Clutch, trans, steering, and rear, including brakes, are done. Once I put the body back on, technically, it's driveable. Lot's of work still to do but, it will be tempting!

A Big Congratulations Arno!
I know what a great feeling it is to finally hear it run after waiting for so long.
It will be a motivating push too I bet!

Dude, that's awesome! Congrats! Can't wait to build mine.

I would love to find old couple like that or a 57 Dodge truck/panel to drop mine in to. One of these days.

Can't wait for the video! Maybe one of you driving it showing us what second gear is all about. What gears are you running?

Thanks Robbins,
It took me over a year of serious looking to find what I wanted. I'm running 3.23s right now but I'm looking for some 3.91s to go in it eventually.
