What year is this truck? Seller says it's a '36. I have my doubts. Sitting on an S-10 frame.

It looks like a 1935, series II. The early 1935s still had suicide doors from the 33-34 model years.

Thanks guys! Are the running boards/ front fenders correct for '35?

front fenders look correct, but running boards may be replacements, as i think the "diamond tread" is not correct for factory items. i could be wrong though. my old mind plays tricks on me now and again. are you going to "rescue" this truck ? if so, i would be trading that s-10 chassis for a dak one.

I don't know yet if I'm going to be able to rescue this truck. We're having a hard time agreeing on a price. There's a lot of missing (expensive) pieces. No title. No box. It's a 2 hour drive to inspect it in person. If I do get it, that S-10 frame is a memory!

For that pile of scrap, if they aren't paying you to haul it off you getting taken.

https://www.cardealfinder.com/autos/dodge/1936-dodge-pickup-truck-44333.html

You cannot bring that piece of scrap to this condition for three times the money. Not mine.

what a deal ! if someone wanted a late 35 or 36 pickup, i would buy that in a heartbeat !!! i keep telling guys to save just a LITTLE more, and buy something just about done, unless you want something super RARE, but few listen. the above link proves my point !

Having owned and been around 36-38 pickups the truck in the link from Supercuda is far under market value, at least from what the ad shows and says.

That truck I linked might be under valued, I dunno but even if you tripled the money you could not turn the OP's link into what I linked and not still be short of money.

even those TV shows want to start with a super nice whatever. i watched one where they started on a chevy pickup [mid 60's ? i dunno] and after the tear down, threw everything back on the chassis and made the owner haul it away, then found a similar year truck that was in MUCH better condition to start the build. they STILL found issues, but they weren't near as bad as the owners truck he wanted them to build.
and it always amazes me when that guy in conneticut [?] points out how much something will cost, yet people still want him to continue. i understand personal attachment and family history [but that is different than buying something just because it's "cool"], but just because you want "XYZ" car, don't start with a piece of junk ! you will be so upside down it won't be funny. and in short order.
then there are guys that possess the talent and tools to save something from the crusher "just because", but that is an altogether different deal than the average gearhead.
just my opinion. i'm not out to offend anyone, and i apologize if i have done so. but your mileage may vary.
