I'll be picking up a new 28ft enclosed trailer in a couple weeks. I'm looking for suggestions for a wireless backup / rear view camera system. Wanting something that will work well at highway speeds. Thanks !

I have a Garmin GPS that supports a wireless camera. I don't have a camera and I have no idea of the range. I personally would like to have two, one for the hitch and one for the back of the trailer.

Let us know what you find and how it works.

Bill

I assume you're asking about a hitch/receiver viewing camera. I also like the idea of a rear of the trailer camera, but lately thought about a camera at both front upper corners of the trailer looking back. That way when ever I have the truck & trailer somewhat jackknifed I can view down the bad side, either with a split screen or a left right camera switch.

Just looking outside the box. drumhit

I believe I saw in Dragzine a comparison of a bunch of camera systems. They pick the best and describe the pros and cons of each. They also talk about trailer installation including distances that the wireless systems will work. Pretty neat article.

My truck already has a backup camera in the tailgate. I'm looking for something to mount on the back of the trailer.
I'll check out the links and articles that you guys have suggested . Thanks !

If you have the backup camera, I'm assuming you have a 2010-up Ram? I installed the Lock Pic, https://www.coastaletech.com/MYGIG.htm, which allows me to connect four camera's integrated into my factory radio. I don't have a camera on my third brake light, so installed that one to hitch the fifth wheel. I have a camera on each side of the trailer, up high at the front, looking back down the side and lane next to it, and one at the very back, up high, pointing down showing the rear of the trailer and about 15' behind.
