I am early in the assembly/parts list for a 440 bracket engine for my Cuda.
I have a roller cam that came in a short-block I`ve had for about 20 years. Came with a hand written note about the specs.
Contacted Comp cams with the information, said they didn`t have a listing for anything like it.
So hoping someone is familiar with it,or recognize the specs.

Going to need lifters and springs too? Suggestions???

The numbers on the bottom of the image are copied off the cam itself.

It's exactly what the cam says it is....... Lobe # 304-7, which is now # 4208.

You have all the specs....... What else do you need?

Ok ,thanks.

Well did`nt know if there was any accuracy to the notes.
Never used a roller before, how does the duration/RPM range equate to flat tappet cams?

It's the same.

272@.050 will carry a 440 pretty high up if the heads are decent.

Those are from the "hi torque .406" lobe family....... So, I wouldn't try and get away with minimal spring loads...... Especially if you run higher rocker ratios.
Pretty good high lift area, so it should make decent power.

210/525 would probably get you close to 7k with 1.5 rockers.

A safer number to shoot for would be more like 230-240/560-600, especially with 1.6 or higher rockers.

If you're going to drive it on the street "a lot", then I'd suggest getting the best lifters you can afford.

For something more budget friendly I'd suggest the Comp 861-16 AMC lifters with a set of the BBM link bars......... This way you get pressure fed oiling to the axles, and pushrod oiling if you want it.

I have been using the same lifter and spring that fast68plymouth recommends for over 10 years.Recently had the lifters rebuilt after 5 years. They looked real good so it was just PM. If you send oil up the PR,you will never gall a PR cup.Just restrict the PR oil hole to .025 or you will lose 15 lbs of OP.

HEMI-ITIS has no cure.
My condition is fully BLOWN!!
