Did you paint them, how's that working out for you? Anything you did special to keep them from chipping?. Did you paint under the head or tape it off? Ideas please.

I actually know the guy whose dad invented those things. All his hot rods have license plates saying QTR TRN 1, 2, 3......he has some really nice hot rods.
Oh Original poster I would leave them alone except to maybe polish them.

I have painted them in the past. Eventually they will chip and look bad. IMO don't do it, anodizing has worked much better.
