The cheapest best intake is the Victor with a 1" open spacer. The Indy with 1" cut off and a 1" tapered spacer will make more avg. power but at a premium cost compared to the victor. However, the Indy needs minor port work at the flange, so if you compare a full port on the Victor vs. Indy they might be close in price...only other factor would be carb height on Indy is fairly tall. I like my Indy... I use the 1050 adapter to run a 1050... runs great to 8200 on my 396ci... I used it on my 340+ .030 and it pulled hard to 8000 but that was about the limit on the cam

Hi Brian, similar build to the orginal poster,11 to 1, hensley stage 2 ported w-2 econo long valve,72 cc open chamber head, the M-1 intake appears to be just gasket matched. the water port from the t-stat housing is blocked as well. 5500 8" converter 4:30 gear. The car has lazy 60' now (1.60 best)3250 lbs.
Mine is 40 over as well, 3.79 stroke. Crane .580" .600" lift, 268, 278 duration @ .050 crane flat tappet cam, Installed at card spec

2 things I would look at... first what RPM are you leaving at and have you played with the squirters and pump cams

Way too much cam for that combo! I would run something closer to 260@ .050 on a 107 and advance it alot. Most of my 60ft. I found with CHASSIS and not engine, but that cam is wrong for what your doing. Brian
