The owner is a member here I believe. Ben Bertok owned the car at one time, story goes that when his Charger (the ex-Hine Motors Chargin' Hemi) was rear ended at Quaker City, the guy who rear ended him bought Ben the Brawler as a replacement.

The Charger was supposedly totaled (heard numerous stories), also heard that the car that rear ended the Charger was Koffel's former A/FX '65 Belvedere.

Donny Johnson owns the car and is a member here as well as his brother John (Bigbeep). The car was ran by Bob Reed years ago and had a Hemi in it. I beleieve it was called Locamotion. It now has Indy wedge motor in it. I am sure John will chime in soon with more details.

Correct. (for the most part) The charger had the rear clip replaced, a sb installed, and then sold off to re-coupe some $$$. And yes, it was the '65 Flintstone flyer awb.

I remember when Benny owned the car. He was never really happy with it. He said he never liked how it felt. I think it was more he was still bummed about the Charger.

From what I was told, Carlon is very bitter about the Charger. I guess he stated he would never sell another car ever again.

That's at Quaker. What year was it? Benny owned the car I would say around 84-85. After he sold it Ben and Benny got the Dusters

Doug,
My brother Donny owns the Brawler. Long story short, he has owned it since 93. IIRC he brought it home on new years day. He has made a lot of changes to the car in all those years, but will not cut it up. I gave him a call and left him a message to check here. I will let him give you the low down. I think he plans on hitting a couple of races at Norwalk this year. Wait and see if he posts anything. If not, I'll try to fill in some of the history and stats. Beep

Thanks Doug. I like both of yours as well. Those 65 B's are deep in our blood. Dad still has a 65 Satellite that he bought in 67 and I have one he bought in 88. Haven't done anything with it, but it is all there and only has 64k miles on it.

Check out this pic. It is my brother's car from back around 68-70 Beep

Buckeye Brute was red, white, and blue. It was a '63 Dodge.

Doug, I am the present owner of the Buckeye Brawler (17 years) It currently has a stroked low deck with Indy heads. Best ET to date is a 10.02 @ 135. Still sorting out the suspension with Caltracs it tends to wheelstand a bit. It's a blast to drive, but I don't want to tear it up due to the history it has. I'll dig up some pics to post. I like your rides as well their COOL
