I took the Dart to T&T tonight to try out my CRT trans brake, found out my local track doesn't like trans brakes and radials. It ran 6.45 @ 108.10 foot braking with a 1.45 60' off the trailer. The second pass I left off the brake but was in second and ran 6.52 @ 108.49 with a 1.53 60'. The next two passes it spun leaving off the brake at 3500 and 2500 rpm's. I decided to make one more foot brake pass before loading up, it popped and died before the 594' cone running 6.49 @ 90 mph with a 1.40 60'. I looked at the gauges when it laid down and had no fuel pressure. Looking at the incremental's it was .122 faster at 330' than the first (6.45) pass so I'm thinking it would've been in the mid low 6.30's if the pump hadn't died.

So I need a new pump, something that can run continuously as I drive on the street a lot and can feed how ever many HP it takes to run 3350# 108 or so mph in the 1/8.

What do you guys recommend?

Been running a Aeromotive pump daily and racing the last 4 years (?) maybe . Quiet and no dramas . The one below a 1000 series . Oh i also fitted their return regulator at the same time . Went from a Holley hp150

I don't have it off yet but it appears the motor is locked up.

It sounds like it was fat also being that
you went quicker when the pump was dying..
so after you get a pump try leaning it down
EDIT
I was running a pair of 140s on my stuff
before I swapped to injection but 1 of them
would work for you(Mallory 140)

Justin...Maybe you will get lucky. A few weeks back that Holley HP 150 locked up on me. Took it apart and cleaned up the gear assembly and it works just fine! I did install an Aeromotive S/S 11203 pump that works great! It may be a bit noisy for the street. Good luck!

In the past, Magnafuel has been excellent to deal with for parts and service.
I'd call them before buying a new pump.

iagree upTthey will fix it and turn it around back to you fast and probably way cheaper than you can replace it work twocents scope1-800-321-7761 or direct support 1-719-532-1897 scope
Do you have a pre filter between the pump and gas tank? If not maybe a tiny bit of debris locked it up scope Good luck either way up

Thanks guys.

I put seals in it about two months ago. Maybe I can get it off the car and apart this afternoon. Waiting on my brother to come by and help me push it in the shop.

More than likely the small bearing nearest the fuel inlet and outlet froze up. I've seen 2 magnafuel pumps do this in the past 3 days... The bearing shouldn't cost more than $5-$10.

DING DING DING.........We have a winner!

Guys if your Magnafuel pump starts leaking replace the bottom bearing when you do new seals. It could save you some grief.

The bearings in my pump are metric and made in Indonesia and Singapore. I guess nothing is made here anymore. Sad.

If you still decide to get another one, the Aeromotive 11203 is a real good little pump. I ran one for a long time on my car running mid 9s at 3800 lbs...just a simple deadhead system w/ -8 line.

My magnafuel 300 did the exact same thing. I sent mine back to MF and they fixed it up for me.
