Had my car out last night, got home and shortly later noticed I had a flat. Looks like a picked up a nail and spun it out when I was laying into it. Anyway, whats the take on this? These are bias wrinkle wall M&H slicks, they have all of about 300 street miles on them and whatever wear has come from spinning them from a roll. Can I patch it? Put tubes in? What does Moparts think?

Now I need to pin those needles, got to feel that heat

the way a slick wrinkles and flex it's a risk. I have patched them in the past but worried every pass.

These work well for sidewalls too. ( well near the side wall anyway - I'd stay clear of a full sidewall repair)

I used to care but....... things have changed

Pull the slick off the rim, clean the inside where the hole is rough it up with a little sand paper then put a patch of silicone on it. Let it dry up and re-install. I learned this from my uncle, who ran stock and super stock cars for 40 years. Has served me well.

I have also put plugs in slicks and never had any problems. Once had a brand new set of slicks that picked up a nail on my first trip to the track w/ them. Plugged it and ran them til they were completely done.

Me too. For $275+, I'll fix it.
