I just got a new vert from PTC and it has holes for 8 bolts on the flexplate so I assume I just use 4 and wont need a new flex plate.

I think I would call them and make sure, based off of the serial number, that they didn't send you the wrong converter That converter style of mounting with both bolts and nuts are similar to what my Powerglide converter uses, three through bolts with nuts on the converter side

I just bought the same converter I used the stock flex plate just lined it up and it bolted right up. I think they do that so if you do damage one of the holes you can just rotate the converter to a fresh set of holes. I love my converter I got from them and it was a good price plus Kenny is a mopar guy thru and thru

Thank you! I figured a pro mod car may use both bolts. This is my 2nd vert from them and I only changed cuz my trans blew and I updated everything and the old vert had 3 upgrades to be for a blower from a n/a vert it started as.

I will be using my 7/16 bolts that I have and use red loctite as usual. The engine tilter works great for doing it with a single person.

I had two of the MP bolts back out and snap,,,destroyed the starter, tore up the back of the block, ruined the ring on the convertor, etc,,,
Didn't want you to experience the same problem I did

Nice meeting you at linders lot last week, good luck with the car.
