I am having to take off my first pair of phoenix's that have 200+runs on them. 1st question is phoenix tires still in selling tires? I can get a set from jegs. Is there a better lasting tire out there. These have been on the car since 2008. My rollout on the phoenix were 102.5 when I first put them on and just measured again and they were 101. Thanks for the input.

They are now owned by Coker Tire I believe. Call them and ask if they still use the same rubber compound. If so, I'd put another set on with a life span like that.

I used then on my car and I loved them.... but I also used them WAYYY back when they were still firestone. tried Goodyears. they were so so. cant fit a Hosier of the same size. too much section width for my car.

I would go with them again if I was you. or me!

We have always had MANY runs on Phoenix, and also Firestone when we ran them. They will hook when the cords are showing!

Mine were hoooking good till this last weekend. I was having to do a pro stock burnout or its wasn't hooking. But in defense of the tires there isn't much if any indecator left. I have a bad new set of phoenix's in the garage. All I have to do is soap them up and mount them.

I was very happy with my Phoenix slicks. I noticed the other day when I was under the car that the date they put on them when originally mounted was in 2007. Problem is, I wanted another set at the end of June, and the earliest date I was hearing from all the stores was mid August, well now I'm hearing late September early October....I run the 31.25 X 12.2 - I can't wait, I'm going back to Goodyear 14 X 32's (D1984) - they lasted pretty long on the '81 Charger, they're just so freakin' heavy.

i'm using MT 32x14's here with the stiff sidewall. i race 12 meetings a year & get near on 2 seasons out of a set. admittedly they're going off by the end of the second season.

I went with the phoenix's. They were great the first time around so I figured I would go with them again. Just hoping the don't leak as much as the last set. Thanks for the help guys.

I've got Phoenix 14x32's and Rick has MT's. Both cars weigh the same and similar 60's
