I bought this brand new / NOS B&M polished supercharger intake (along with a bottom pulley & spacer and polished snout) off eBay a couple months back and went to install it on our Dart a couple weeks after purchase. It bolted on great but boy was I surprised when I went to fit the supercharger on it.
It wouldn't bolt up.
Now I was at a loss as I figure they were all pretty much standard and most of my small blowers are B&M set-ups.
The one I was using was said to be a 162?!?
I also have a couple others 142/144, 174/177 too and none of those fit either.
So now I'm really confused as to what blower fits this intake.
It has a fairly large opening for these smaller superchargers and two sets of blower mounting holes (side by side) and a second set of mounting holes at the rear of the intake. I thought this is so it would fit either the smaller 142/144 blower or the larger 174/177 units. However that appears not to be the case.
Also it looks like which ever set of (side to side) holes I use, makes the supercharger sit off to that side slightly making the opposite side only having 1/16 - 1/8" of sealing surface on that side of the intake opening hole.

At first I thought maybe this intake was an oddball that was custom or something, however I have since seen two other intakes which were the exact same thing (same part number).

Part number on the original B&M box is: 91074
Casting number on the intake is: 8901070

Anyone know what supercharger this intake will work or was designed to work with?!?!

I'd love to use this intake as it is very low profile.

That's probably what will end up happening.
It'd just be nice to keep everything as low and correct/clean looking as possible.

i kind of have the same plan trying to keep everything as low and cleanlooking as possible and ended up having a machineshop create a onepiece billet manifold, its not completed yet but i think i will endup with a adaptorplate anyway since my stupid blower has the atachingbolts in all the wrong places just have to ask around some and you may find a machineshop that thinks its an intresting project and therefore will give you a niceprice and also if they like doing that kind of stuff they will probably make something good looking as they probably understands what its for
