Hey gang..
I think I over pressured my a/c system in my 2012 Dodge Ram.. It had never been serviced since new and thought it was not cooling as well as it used to be.. So, I bought one of those recharge cans with gauge and trigger... The next day, the a/c started not acting properly... I think I over pressured the system.. Isn't there a high-pressure cut-off sensor/valve in the system? If so, can I just release/extract some freon from the system? I think there's a valve at the bottom of the low-pressure side inlet valve?

Cheers,

Condenser fans are known to go out on those trucks. Have the system evacuated and recharged with the proper amount and check the fan operation.

Agreed. Pay the hundred bucks and have a shop evac it, vacuum it and recharge. They will put in fresh oil plus they will fill it by weight based on the sticker under your hood. With the correct charge you will be in a better position to decide if it's cooling properly or not.

So true and I agree!

If stop leak was used I won't use my AC recyler on your car because it mess up my machine and containment it.

Those deals have messed up plenty of AC systems by misuse. Great money maker but not real accurate and can cause plenty of damage to AC system by over charging.
