I am looking at a set of Dick Cepek wheels for my 08 H.Q.C. they have a 4.50 inch back spacing, I currently have the 20x9 chrome clad wheels it came with I can`t seem to find the offset for these wheels. I would like to get the new wheels but want the right offset, i don`t like how the trucks look with the tire sticking way out past the fenders, does anybody know the offset? or if the 4.50 offset will fit, Thanks

From the front with the wheel on the truck, put a straight edge against the edges of your wheel (not the tire) and use a tape measure to measure the distance to the back of the wheel mounting surface where the wheel meets the truck brake outer surface. Subtract that measurement from the 9" width of the wheel, and what you have left will be the back spacing.

If you have your wheel off, the back spacing will be the distance from a straight edge against the edge of the wheel (not the tire) on the back side, and measure the distance to the surface where the wheel bolts to the brake drum/rotor.

Understand, the distance of the back spacing will only tell you how far back the wheel will sit from what its bolted to. You will need to subtract that from the wheel width to see how far the wheel will set outward. In other words, if the new wheels are 10" wide, but the old wheels were 9" wide, if both have the same backspacing, the new wheels will stick outward another inch because the new wheel is an inch wider. Gene

Thanks Gene, I have already determined that the wheels I was thinking of purchasing don't have enough offset and would end up sticking out of the fenders to far and giving me the look I don't care for. I Googled for pictures of Rams with the wheels I was looking at and reached this conclusion. I don't know why it seems all the aftermarket wheel makers make wheels with not enough offset thus the tires and wheels stick out to far for my taste.
