Where can I get my ash tray receiver replated in the silver finish they used?

if it is rusty, I think I read somewhere that Tonys Parts is reproducing them.

Yes he is reproducing the ashtray. I'm talking the receiver that is mounted in the dash where the ashtray pivots on and the cig. lighter is fastened to.

Just went through this ... any rust will result in pitting. The finish is clear zinc as stated above. The repros came out about a month after I did mine. I would have bought the repro instead!!

The big issue is the riveting.

Thanks for the clarification on the clear zinc. My original has very little rust on it. Plus I have an NOS one, but that one is coated with a black finish. Not sure what it is.

They do not repop this part. You are thinking of the insert for the ashtray door.

Tony's parts is reproducing the receiver (the stamped box like tray that slides into the dash part of the assembly). IIRC, its a new part he makes. Includes rivets to attache the dash face. Does not fit 68 B-body with the slide up pad.

Thanks! I will keep that in mind. Someone offered me one that is already replated. Will see what that one looks like and go from there. I may send the others out to you anyway to have them replated.
