I know I have seen these for sale from a vendor but having trouble finding them. They are the 2-3 inch long thin sheet metal straps that have the ends dipped in rubber then are spot welded to the firewall, trunk extensions, and core support to trap the wiring harness. I need six of them for my 69 bee tail light panel. Thanks in advance.

no offence , but don't you think that you could make them yourself, go to hardware store and get the dip, mic the broken one you have, get some sheetmetal cut to size ,round the edges dip them, and wala instant wire loom. you can't just buy parts for a car sometimes you have to make the parts for a 50 year old car.

Yeah, you could do that...The biggest pain is dipping the tabs multiple times just to get the thickness needed to get the job done and look original... Not to mention the timeframe on drying those multiple coats..And then the store bought dip coating won't take the heat like the originals depending on where you need to use them..After all that buying a set doesn't look so bad just to get it done if you plan ahead.. twocents

FYI I have had better luck using paintable body seam sealer to recreate the rubber dipped effect on parts like those. Most cars have similar tabs on the fire wall, and small block valve covers have them to support the alternator wires. The rubber dip stuff is thin + paint just doesn't adhere to it that great in the long run. Just throwin that out there for those that have tabs with chewed up or missing rubber that needs fixing.

EDIT: To smooth lumpy seam sealer use weather strip adhesive remover and a cloth or paper towel.
