Did all 68 Hemi b-bodys come with resonators or could they have also come with just regular tail pipes?

According to the parts book they only came one way.

Has anybody found a noticable difference in performance loss when using the resonators ( or the rear mufflers as the parts book refers to them). I was told they cause to much restriction and the parts supplier suggested I would be happier just using tailpipes. Or is he just using that as an excuse because he didn't send me what I originally ordered.

i used magnaflow resonators on my slightly warmed over 68 383 4-speed rr, i have a 2.5" x pipe with dynomax Hemi mufflers, 2.5" flowmaster tail pipes. i saw no difference in performance but my drone is gone!! if your using the stock style crimped tail pipes that would hurt performance, the resonators look almost stock from the rear.
