I use Booster Dewey in Oregon.
Although I haven't had any luck with anyone from Oregon, Booster Dewey did me right and I'll send him another one day. He rebuilt one hemi bendix booster and tested another NOS hemi bendix booster before I sold it.

Karps Brakes in CA did my MC, booster, calipers and brake cylinders. I had a caliper come back with the powder coat a little thin, and rust started to form a year later. They fixed it no questions asked, and i had expected a little more grief.

Hope this helps.

I used White Post back in the mid 90's for my master cyl. and front disc on my 67 R/T. Very nice job, but it was very $$$$$$$$$$$$$

I used White Post for a 70 E-body booster and m/c but I won't use them again. They turned the parts quickly and all appeared good but I had some follow-on questions about the m/c after the work was done when I learned that the aftermarket piston kits for those m/c's are problematic. I got a ton of attitude from the guys from White Post when I tried to find out if they used my original pistons, etc.. They got pretty condescending and wouldn't even entertain the notion that they could have made a mistake.

I ended up having to get the m/c done again and I used these guys with great results:

Brake & Equipment Warehouse
455 Harrison St NE
Minneapolis, MN 55413
612-767-2629 – I spoke with Brad

BTW - My m/c required a sleeve. White Post uses brass sleeves and Brake & Equipment uses stainless. I believe stainless is better.

I haven't used Booster Dewey, but I've heard a lot of good things about his work.

I used Booster Dewey for my booster and White Post for Master Cylinder, Calipers and Wheel Cylinders. No problems with any of them. However, White Post is expensive.

HEY now... You have to be careful who you call "Oregonians", as we have had alot of "transplants" from other states.. We try to ship them off but they seem to stay..

Use Booster Dewey in Oregon and Mpls Brake Warehouse for your MC. I have used both multiple times and have been very pleased and both are very reasonably priced for their services. No need to look elsewhere!!

I'm wondering why you feel you need to send both components to the same place? Booster Dewey is hands down the best for booster restoration and Brake and Equipment Warehouse is outstanding for brake cylinder restoration.
Brake and Equipment warehouse doesn't paint the master cylinders black, so when you get it back you will need to paint it, put some protective plugs in the outlets, use Rustoleum semi gloss black to paint the entire assembly, and after waiting a week for the paint to dry, you are all set! If you want to, you can bolt the master cylinder to the booster and paint the entire unit together. But as far as finding a "one stop shop" for both components, I think you are much better off sending the booster to dewey and the MC to brake and equipment.

Hey Hey Hey Rick I didn't call anyone an Oregonian, is that a bad word ??. That's funny I'm glad someone was paying attention. Myself I've had crappy luck with people from Oregon for some reason. It started with Gordon FUNK......
Your an exception though.

It all depends on if you are aiming for your car to OE correct. If you want to be accurate, you need to paint the assembly including the cap and bale wire. If you don't mind deviating a little bit, you can put a plated cap on it.
I've found if you are really careful, and use a couple screwdrivers, you can get the bale wire off the cap without scraping the paint. And if you scrape it slightly it is easy to touch it up with some black paint after you put the cap back on.
The other problem I've had, is brake fluid getting on the paint and lifting it. Not a problem if you use DOT 5, but with DOT 3 or 4 it is.

Not especially popular , they reduced the PM limit considerably recently. I started deleting old PMs but still have a long way to go to clean out my inbox.
So I added my email address to my profile and figured people can contact me that way instead!

I assume you replaced the "at" with a @ and the "dot" with a . ? e.g @comcast.net
At any rate, I just sent you an email at the address you have listed in your profile.
