I have several sets which are stamped as follows: 1R,1L, 2R,2L and 7R,7L. I'm sure R=Right and L=Left. What does the numeric digit mean? I assume Mopar car model. Does anybody know for sure? If so, what number pertains to which car model. Thank you.

1R&L A Body 4 doors

2R&L A Body 2 doors

All B bodies are 8R&L with the exception of convertibles, 4 doors, wagons, and 68-70 Charger. These are 7R&L

1970 model year didn't have shoulder belt brackets under the sun visors. The shoulder belt has the male end on it.

Well that explains it, I bought a Mopar parts group with 95% of the group being 2nd gen Charger stuff. So I'm guessing at what parts are from either 68, 69 or 70. So not knowing their origin I've always wondered about the 6R & 6L on those belt clip brackets. I never got around to asking on here for the experts to help out.

Thanks

Are you still buying seat belt bolts?

Have additional info. Found belts in basement labeled: "2945155 Dated 1968-3". Attached are brackets stamped "7R, 7L". More info to add to my confusion.
