I have a 15" x 5 1/2 JJ steel wheel and am trying to determine the application. It is stamped Kelsey Canada with K2 8, 11 20. Photos attached. Any info appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

It's a 1968-9 style wheel. Kelsey-Hayes, plant 2, looks like November 20, 1968 build date. Could have gone on a C-body, or a B-body. This wheel would have covered many different models - maybe even pickup trucks. Not a valuable wheel.

What would a good set of 4 sell for - I'm looking for a set myself - to replace the 14" steels on my 62 Plymouth.

This 15x5.5" is a 1969 C body wheel. 11-20-1968

Should be $100/set at the junkyard if you're not concerned about running the correct dog dish caps.

Several choices available if you want to run the correct caps.

Thanks for the reply. I have a correct set of 14's with the large pattern for the correct dog dishes but I think the car would look puny without 15's.

I have a remedy for the small center to use the large dog dish so going to chase that down first.

Screws or epoxy are the usual low-buck solutions.

Not to mention the availability of 14" tires is practically nonexistent.

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.

14" tires aren't that hard to find. Try Discount or tire rack. They list a bunch of them.

I now have access to a supply of 15x5" wide pre-68 wheels. Just got a set in. These will accept the larger diameter 67 & earlier dog dish caps. They can be widened, but I do not do any wheel mods. I have not had a pre-68 Mopar wheel in over 3 years. Only other ones I used to get in 15" were 5.5" wide.

I'm getting ready to sell off 2-15 X 5, 2-15 X 5.5 and 2 widened 15 X 8. All of them are/were K wheels.

Now that the large cap centers are available for the 15" rim shells the K wheels just aren't the only option anymore. They still bring good money though.
