My father's GC is leaking antifreeze from the bypass hose behind the water pump. It looks like the mechanic that previously replaced the water pump botched the bypass hose and glued it on with what looks like Indian Head gasket sealer.

Now that it's apart I'm wondering if I should just replace the bypass hose and water pump, or go all the way and replace everything I can get to while I have it apart such as all hoses, thermostat and housing? Radiator hoses are original, but look good.

Replace everything. the Economy is slow people need the work to make all the parts....why not just jack up the jeep and roll the tires under a new jeep that should solve all your issues

Hoses that are 24 years old are way past their expiration date. Not saying it's time for a new(er) Jeep but if you have them off now, it'll never be easier to replace them.

Yea, the hoses are old, I'll get new from NAPA. How about the thermostat and housing? If they seem okay, is it best to leave them alone or replace while I'm there?
