I dropped my steering column down while installing a mew speedo in my 70 Challenger 440RT, Now, with everything reinstalled, key worked the ignition and starter, but I cannot remove the key from the column. To drop the column, I removed the two 3/8nuts from under it and loosened the 3 bolts on the plate to the firewall. Any advice on what I might have screwed up or how to troubleshoot and fix? Thanks

Did you readjust the lock out linkage?

If it is a '70 model, adjust the lockout linkage if needed, but if it is a 4-speed car,the shifter must also be in reverse to remove the key.
