I've ported several sets of heads but never known just how much of the guide boss lead in could be ground away from the roof of the port. Is there oil or water above it? My normal process is blend the bowl, reduce the guideboss, work the shortside, gasket match intake, then polish. But I always wonder if I'm leaving extra material in the roof as it the boss starts to ramp up.
Thanks,
Reggie

You might Google & read "Dulcich mopar porting articles" & see if he covers that area on his iron head work.

Thanks Rapid, I do have his articles ("Going With The Flow" Mopar Muscle '99) but I wasn't able to get a good feel for that particular part of the port in his descriptions. Maybe I'm just not reading it clearly.
