How do I disable the horn chirp that occurs when you use the key fob lock button? I have a 2017 dodge ram 1500 express

Read the owners manual. You can do all sorts of things like turning off the seat belt chime, turning off the horn, unlocking one or all doors, etc...

Try this;
1. Get in the truck and fasten your seat belt
2. Put the key in and turn to on, don't start
3. Push the lock button on the key fob for at least 4 seconds but not longer than 10 seconds
4. While holding the lock button down, press and hold the unlock button on the key fob
5. When a single chime is heard release both buttons and the horn should be deactivated
Do the procedure again to reactivate.

it was easier than that. I went to settings and disabled the horn beeping when locking the truck

Ah Ha! You have the Nav. system and it's all contained in there. Sweet! I didn't like that either so I had to do the procedure outlined above. Mines an '04 though... Glad you got it, it is pretty obnoxious.

I deactivated it in our minivan once. Thought I locked it and it wasn't locked. Someone opened the door and stole a bunch of little stuff from it that night. Activated it after that. I usually hit the lock on the way out of the car now to avoid the horn beeping. If I'm inside the house or can't see the lights flash, I like to hear the beep.
