I think you're easiest way is to get a mobile locksmith to come to your house and cut you a new key for the ignition (costs about $75). Using a matching door lock is another reasonable way to do it, but if the guy comes to your house anyway, why bother disassembling the door to take the lock out? Also, without the key, it's very hard to pull the ignition lock out of the column (Chrysler designed that to be tough for car thieves). You need the key in the ignition lock to remove it.
