Current owner purchased car from original owner who ordered it new.
Broad cast sheet missing
Fender tag here but rusty
Current owner has paper work that was filled out at dealership when ordered new, showing options. I know that Broadcast Sheets and
Fender tags create controversy, could I have B/S and F/T made with or from this paperwork? This is a #s matching(eng/trans) Factory A/C
RR and don't want to cast doubt on the car by getting these items duplicated.Thoughts?

If the car was built according to the dealership order, and you have that info and the original fender tag, I don't see a problem. For any serious judging, you could display copies of your documentation. And definitely make copies and store the originals safely with the car's file.

Oh, and it's "doubts", since you seem to have asked. Advance apologies to anyone who gets bent out of shape that I'm advising the correct spelling.

As long as you have the original fendertag and it is legible for ALL info posted on it then there will never be any question to its validity and will not cast any shadows on the car.

The Broadcast sheet will NEVER be legit so save your money you have the order form from the original dealer , that's as good , this case better than a FAKE broadcast sheet .

reproduce the FT from the original if you wish, and keep the original FT and paperwork in a safe place. Don't bother with the broadcast sheet.

Sure. Many have. And either will cast doubts on the legitimacy of the car.

I agree with John and Dave. Better none and let the car stand on it's own rather than faking BS or fender tags.

Done properly, it can be a good thing. But consider...would you have wanted the paperwrok already laminated? Does the next owner?

Laminating is a good way to preserve the sheet but here is a little known fact that you should be aware of BEFORE you do it. Many sheets have grease pencil writing on them that sometimes covers codes and makes them hard or impossible to read. The grease pencils had graphite in it which is the same thing used in a regular old pencil. After 40 years the grease is long gone but the graphite remains. You can usually use just a regular pencil eraser to remove it and likely read the code under it. If it does not work your have lost nothing. I have had great results with it on old sheets in the past.
