Restorick sells an undercoating if you're looking to get something as close to the original as possible. On my cars I don't care so much if it looks 100% original so I have just used the Napa brand stuff. Seems to do the job just fine for me, just make sure your surface is clean clean clean for best results. I also applied it with a schutz gun. Gives a nice finish.

I would use a light oil-spray rustproofing that will soak into any rust. I think the care in applying the undercoating is more important than the brand of coating used. I would only use a rubberized undercoating if the base if absolutely pristine like a new car just out of the showroom.

I use the NAPA brand of shutz like Daytonaturbo, I think it goes on "wetter" than the 3M brand shutz, and looks more authentic. The 3M shutz always seems to spray king of dry. Maybe it was me? It seems to dry just as hard as the 3M stuff though. And it is cheaper. And if you think you'll need 3 cans, get 5.........lol!
