It's a long story, but now I have my glove box lock assembled on the bench (and NOT on the
glovebox lid). I don't have a key that fits, so I can't turn it to the "six o'clock position".
Is there any way to get the core out without taking it to a locksmith?

Thanks

Have you tried the 'usual' lock picking techniques?
(paper clips, other keys, etc)

I tried picking the lock and learned that I probably don't have thievery (sp?) in my future as a career path ...

I ended up trying every trunk key I have in my stash. The very last one I tried worked and I got it apart. The strange thing was the key was one of the spares for my Challenger. None of the other Challenger trunk keys worked.

Thanks for the advice!
