Who has the best prices for Stainless Steel Braided Line? I am going to run a return fuel line to my gas tank and want to use stainless.

It ran Aeroquip stainless from Summit for fuel supply. A big part of the cost is the fittings. Summit seems to have a good selection of fittings at relativly reasonable cost. That said, stainless braid and low cost don't go together very well.

I ran a reproduction steel fuel line from inline tubes for the return... a much better value. I would have run an inline tube steel supply line but couldn't package it very well with a frame mounted pump.

I was never a fan of the do it yourself at home, fittings, I had one on my hydraulic clutch line and I suppose it did OK, but one day I accidentally snagged the line and it pulled right out. now I only use crimped fittings...much more secure!

if you wanted to run a long line for fuel, the at home fittings will probably be fine, since fuel never sees high pressure. summit and jegs both have stainless line in bulk and the fittings for each end will be around $8 each.

I bought a 25' roll of aluminum 3/8 fuel line for about $20 or so. kinda hard to beat, especially since the majority of the line is under the vehicle where no one will see it but you when you're working on it.

Someone posted a while back that there was a problem with one of the braided lines seeping fuel, causing this smell.

Why use a braided line. Fine Lines has prebent SS lines that dont get all full of crap and look bad after a short time.
