Does anyone know if there is a commonly available later model set of bearing halves that interchanges with my 71 Charger? Hoping to get this in today so would like to avoid ordering a part. Thanks

You could try a dodge dealer. Pretty sure they are still available. 2265938 part number. They could search other dealers in your area too. Probably closed today though.

I ended up ordering the kit from Dante's.

I'm surprised there isn't a zerk in the z-bar. Any reason why I wouldn't put one in?

If you get the metal ones do the fitting, if plastic, like most of them, don't add grease tsk It holds dirt and moisture and adds wear to the plastic halfs. work twocents

Disk brake pin grease is ok for rubber and plastic. It also won't collect grease.
