Sammy OP top fuel S Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 1,823 Wind Gap,Pa.	Is there a way to see if the oil sending unit is bad or if there is a wiring issue? The gauge was fluctuating up and down very low and has now just stopped. Don't want to buy a new sending unit if that's not the problem.

stumpy I Win Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 32,910 Grand Prairie,Texas	Ground the sending wire and turn the key on. If the gauge rises then it most likely is a sender issue. Don't let the gauge peg out because you can burn it up.
