yes thank you i read it but it wasnt that clear to me, im just trying to ask it in a more understandable way, maybe its just not clear to me, trying to find out hoe the rod lever connects to the door mech. its impossible to pu on the c clip to the back of the lock barrel when its already in the door, so i though maybe i can take the rod out of the door mech, build the whole assembly outside of the door, slip it back in thru the lock hole then hook the rod back up to the door mech, i just cant figure out how the rod attaches to the door mech inside the door..

There is a small plastic push in clip that holds the rod in the hole of the mach. E body uses the same clip and nobody makes it. You can use a small metal rod chip. The end that goes into the cylinder does not use a clip.

YES!! Thank you! Now, just one more question, how do i get that rod out of the white plastic part?? Do i just pull it out, and conversely, when i put it back do I just push it into the white plastic hole on the Mech...

I use a long screw driver and reach in there and pry the rod out of the clip. Then yes, just push it back in. Can be kind of a pain in butt.
So from the start.
Install lock cylinder into door
Install rod into cylinder.
Push other end of rod into clip.

yes, use the right blade width screwdriver (a wide one) to pry it out of the plastic bushing.
