Had a panic situation yesterday where I had to quickly stab the brakes (at 70 MPH)....
It sounded like I stepped on a whoppie cushion and the pedal went hard. The truck made no motions like the brakes actually engaged.
Fortunately I had an 'out' and was able to avoid the reason for the brake stab.
Applied normally, the brakes make no noise and seem to function properly.
A few times since then, I have stabbed the brakes again just to see if it would happen again, and it does. I hear either a whoppie cushion kind of noise or just a loud whoosh. Doesn't matter what speed.
