Here's the deal, I'm using a motor plate, so I need to bring my bottom pulley out 3/4" to align with the fan pulley. The total required distance from the balancer to the center of the groove is 2 1/2", can I use a spacer(3/4") too make up the difference? Is there a pulley out there that would work better. The 2 groove billet ones are 2.00/2.85 to center of the grooves. Any ideas???
I thought about using a wheel spacer, the kind w/o studs, would this work? I prefer to use a single groove if at all possible.
Thanks
Jim

Mancini Racing sells a nice machined 3/8" spacer. I think Andy F makes these? I have not seen any that are 3/4"? You may be able to find a deeper lower pulley. I ran the ATI damper that has the flat front (not recessed like stock) and that pushed my stock pulley too far out, so I ordered a March pulley set for a fluid damper setup, and the lower pulley was 3/8" too shallow. That is why I used the 3/8" spacer listed above, with with longer bolts.

Normally when using a motor plate sandwiched between the water pump housing & the block the water pump housing gets milled down the thickness of the plate...

Still, expensive and finding the right pulley/spacer would be soooo much easier, thanks for your input though.

If the motor plate is 3/8 thick then you only need one 3/8 spacer for the crank pulley.

The backside of the water pump housing can also be machined down by 0.375, but then you have to adjust the spacing for any other belt driven accessory.
