Hi

Can anyone tell me what sort of cylinder head the hold downs in the picture are supposed to work with?

Clearly they won't just drop on to a factory cast pedestal - so what is needed to make the HS hold downs fit?

Thanks for the help...

maxwedge heads, as well as regular heads in the 59-62/63 period had "stands" that the rocker shaft rode in. to use that assembly on later heads, a simple machining of the pedistal pads is all thats required .

Just machine the heads to work with those stands.

OK guys thanks for the heads up.

Would MP billet or Factory hold downs work with HS shafts instead of machining the heads?

(Spring pressure is not huge on the heads in question)

Get the Hugh's kit from Mancini with the studs. It's a great deal

Thanks , I'll add them to the list

- but I still need to know if I can use them with HS shafts - I thought the HS shafts were a different diameter to other make rocker shafts?
