i went trought 3 904s so far and im about to buld one for a 400+hp and 400+ftlbs

what hp did the other 3 have going to them?

well one was stock then i bought a tci 450hp one blue and fixed seconed blue it out and 3rd slipin now soo im wornderin how to keep seconed in

What does the car weigh ? ...what rear-end gearing? .. these are important factors.

3100 with a full tank of gas and it has 323s in the rear

are you sure the throttle pressure linkage is adjusted correctly?

Well the first was stock and the second was a t.c.i...if you have one properly built they will last,i run one in my 3180 lb '70 duster with either my 520 h.p. 416 stroker or my 400 h.p. 360,and it has held up for 3 seasons of abuse at the track with really no issues...

I have a Cope trans and it works perfectly. I have a 450 HP small block. Not an HP guess, engine dyno results.

I am over 400 hp with a stock 904 with only a manual vb in a 3100 lb car. Been fine for 2 years of racing. 4.30 rear and a 4k stall.

did those 904's have manual valve bodies? If not, did you have the kickdown linkage hooked up?

Me thimks you are probably hard on the ole 904 trans. .... and the 3.23 gear is not helping either.

I would suggest a 727 and be done with it.
